In this class you will learn:
Tom’s personal system in continuous development; informed by his 15+years of experience in martial arts. Concepts, techniques and training methods are linked together to develop well rounded, capable and functional martial skills.
Non-Classical Gung Fu processes to develop attributes- punching power, explosive footwork, non-telegraphic striking etc;
Sticking hands- for development of sensing, forward pressure, ability to deal with pressure
Closing drills- practical methods of delivering strikes to opponents in a variety of positions
Counter interference- backup strategies for when you get blocked or encounter barriers.
Deep study into Wing Chun forms to improve coordination, and learn a variety of movements and skill sets
Martial strategy, philosophy and applications for improving one’s life outside of martial arts
Yi Quan Standing Meditation for development of structure, relaxed power and health cultivation
Weapon work including knives, swords, poles, improvised weapons
Rates and Schedule
Private Class Rates: Scheduled based on availability of student and instructor.
$397/month for weekly 1 hr classes
$597/ month for weekly 1.5 hr classes
Discounts are available for students interested in taking 2 or more classes weekly and students purchasing 3 month, 6 month or 1 year packages
Group Classes: Every Saturday from 6pm-730pm
$170/month or $45/drop in class
Online Zoom Classes: Scheduled based on availability of student and instructor.
$230USD/month for weekly private 55 minute sessions. No equipment is required.
Location: Classes are hosted in the traditional Chinese way — at my home studio in Kitsilano.
Instruction is offered in English or Cantonese 廣東話.
